Sustaining Rwanda Youth Organization (SR-YO) to host Rio+20 Global Youth Music Contest in Rwanda.
The Rio+20 Global Youth Music Contest is a global completion for young people organized on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Commission (Rio+20 Earth Summit) to be held in June 2012 in Brasil. This is an opportunity that encourages youth to express their hopes, concerns and thoughts on future of our earth by using music. The contest aim to collect musical messages from global youth exploring global solution for sustainable development.

I. Improved Cooking Stoves Campaign against Deforestation project (ICOSCAD)
The ICOSCAD is 12 months project, run in 13 sectors of Gisagara district
ISOSCAD aims at
1. Training 130 local leaders in environment protection and improved cooking stoves construction
2. Teaching the local population after monthly community work
3. Construct 39 Improved cooking for the most vulnerable families as samples

It is a monthly newspaper written in English

This project has been innovated and designed by Evariste RUTEBUKA.
It is a project targeting the children under 18, studying in secondary and primary schools and other part of the street children, which aim at making them the friends of environment trough the environmental picnic, where the children participate in different activities for protection of our environment.
CSEPP has been design because of the problem of deforestation in Rwanda especially cities and the problem of waste management , caused by high population density in the cities, high density caused the land for reforestation the reason why we design a project of planting the trees in commercial area and encouraging city residents to plant fruit trees in their small parcel or plot.

More than 1000 fruit trees have been planted in their parcels
And more than 700 trees have been planted in commercial area
The dustbins have been installed along the paved road distanced because is used by the many children while the coming at school and coming back home, it is also a public way
More than 1200 Small dustbins ( door to door of commercial house) have been distributed.
Different club for environment have been created .
Increase of knowledge for 60 volunteers ,who have been used as volunteers the project about waste management and environmental awareness.
Increased knowlegde and skills for more than 3500 young peole under 18 years old about environment management and the adult people have been campaigned .
